Stampin' Up! Moroccan Nights Merry Christmas card

My Stampin’ Up! Moroccan Nights Merry Christmas card made me all happy with it’s golden embossed shininess! Not only do I love the Moroccan Nights stamp set for itself, but I love this as a Christmas card!

Heat embossing is one of those things that gives amazing wow without adding bulky dimension.  I love the look of wonder and delight the first time someone heat embosses!  Watching the heat tool set an opaque powder into something beautifully shiny is so fun!

Here is another take on this exact card from my friend and fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator Libby Foreman:

One of the cool things about being creative with friends is all the ideas we bring to the table to share! I loved this one!

Season of Joy Stampin' Up! scrap paper card

After finishing my set of cards using the Specialty Christmas paper I created the Season of Joy Stampin’ Up! scrap paper card… With scraps of course!  We all end up with those wonderful left over pieces of paper and this is just a simple idea to use those!

One of the great things about this is that you can use any coordinating decorative paper and make the base layers and embellishments as simple or as fancy as you want…

The layers on this card are very easy, the basic 4 1/4″ x 5.5″ very vanilla.  The Garden Green is 4″ x 5 1/4″, and then another layer of very vanilla cut at 3.75″ x 5″.  The scraps I always cut in ranges from 2″ to 1/2″ (anywhere in between!)  Stamp the Season of Joy from the Christmas Pines set in Real Red.
