My Craft Room Organization Pt 2: Cardstock & paper bits

Here is My Craft Room Organization Pt 2: Cardstock & paper bits. I wanted to share a series of short videos on a few simple things I have learned to do that work for me in keeping my craft supplies organized.

Since I published the video I had some questions come in through YouTube and email.  Here are more deets.  Since I am an active Stampin’Up! demonstrator I don’t keep my retired cardstock.  I will pack up the color with the inkpad, reinker, and any matching ribbon I have and sell it at my customer appreciation event at the end of every catalog year.

I used to keep my “bits” with my hanging cardstock folders, but that got too bulky. Keeping them in the clear sheet protectors works so much better for me!  And I have discovered that keeping a baggie of smaller bits inside the plastic sheet protectors works great to keep it even further organized.

I know part of this is because I teach so many classes and I am always in search of a specific size “bit”.  I am thrifty too, and I know I will always use it in the future ๐Ÿ™‚

Here is a short video I shared:

  1. Thank you for showing this. My scraps are a mess right now. I need to get into the hanging file folder use. That looks really organised.

    1. Deepa, thank you so much for the kind words ๐Ÿ™‚ I know organizational skills are different for everyone and mine has went through several evolutions ๐Ÿ™‚ hope this works great for you!

  2. Your organization tips are so helpful and of the many different ones Iโ€™ve seen, feel yours would be most helpful to me – I am a โ€œsee itโ€ or wonโ€™t use it kind of person too, which ends up right now meaning…..EVERYTHING is out! Which also means itโ€™s disorganized in my case, so still unused. Too overwhelming. Going to give your system a try, then I just may start making cards again! Thanks so much.

    1. Julie, you for the kind words ๐Ÿ™‚ I know you have been working on organization of your craft room for quite some time! I hope you get to the end of the tunnel and find joy in the crafting again ๐Ÿ™‚ miss you lady!
