This Dragonfly Dreams Gold Embossed card was from one of our weekly color challenges. It was quite a mix of colors and the gold just called out for heat embossing! The Dragonfly Dreams stamp set was a great way to get my colors in!
Simply start with a Very vanilla thick cardstock cut for an A2 card, finished size 5.5″ x 4.25″. The Old Olive layer is cut at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″. and the inside very vanilla layer is cut at 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″. Emboss the top of the card using the Hexagon emboss folder. The inner Old Olive layer is 3.5″ square. And the inner heat embossed Vanilla layer is 3 3/8″ square.
See the video tutorial below for details on heat embossing, and remember to make your envelope pretty!
Had so much fun making this Stampin’ Up! Cool Treats Waterfall Card. Fun bold summer colors in a waterfall card? Yes please! This technique came up in conversation at our last Stamp Club meeting, and I had requests to teach the technique again. Loving the Cool Treats stamp set for this motion card!
Here is the motion picture:
Start with an A2 card base. Some people only use the card front, but I actually like the full card to write in! However it’s nice to know your options!
The Melon Mambo layer is cut at 5.25″ x 4″. And the Lemon Lime Twist strip is cut at 1″ x 4.25″. Next the white pull strip is cut at 2 1/4″ x 9″. Score at 2″, 2.75″, 3.5″, and 4.25″. The Melon Mambo mats are 2.25″ square, and the white stamped layers are 2″ square. See the tutorial below for full assembly.
This Stampin’Up! Label Me Pretty Powder Pink card is a very Clean and Simple card. Quick and easy, and I show an easy way to make sure your pretty ribbon from a double strand knot stays on tops where it shows pretty!
Start with an A2 cardbase in Powder Pink cut at 11″ x 4.25″. Score and fold at 5.5″. The Very Vanilla layer is cut at 5.25″ x 4″ and embossed using the Cable Knit textured impressions embossing folder.
Stamp the sentiment and punch using the Pretty Label punch, punch another out of Powder Pink cardstock. Cut the pink one in half and use to border the sentiment. Pop up using dimensionals.
There’s a simple trick to keep decorative ribbon laying flat on top when making a double strand knot, see the video below!
Today’s project is a super easy Happy Birthday Framelit card and video tutorial. Again with the bright cheery colors! The new in colors are really fun!
I started with an A2 Lemon Lime Twist card base. Cut this at 11″ x 4.25″ score and fold at 5.5″. The next layer is Whisper White cut at 5.25″ x 4″ and embossed with the hexagon folder. Die cut the Happy Birthday in both Tempting Turquoise and Lemon Lime twist. Then layer them together and attach using the fine tip glue pen or the Tombo liquid glue. I left the top end of the “Y” unglued until I tucked the strings underneath.
Here’s the video tutorial:
Stamp and punch the balloons and layer on the solid cardstock balloons. I used irridescent gift bag stuffing for the balloon strings. Remember to make your envelope pretty!
This At Home with you Bundle birthday card was one of the cards we made at a recent Stamp A Stack event. The versatile bundle has so many possibilities for every season!
Start with a heavy white cardstock cut at 8.5″ x 5.5″. Score and fold in half at 4.25″. The Early Espresso layer is cut at 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″, and the Crumb cake cardstock layer is cut at 5.25″ x 4″.
Emboss the Crumb Cake layer using the brick wall embossing folder and color the debossed side with a chalk marker. Stamp the images on white paper and use the framelits to cut them out. Color using the Stampin’ write markers.
For the window panes I cut a strip of sponge and very lightly inked it with Soft sky to color them in (lightly!) Remember to make the envelope pretty!
How cute is this Stampin’Up! Cool Treats Sweet & Frozen Treats Framelits card? Pop it up, layer the paper, swirl the color, have some fun!
This was one of my color challenge creations and it uses colors outside my comfort box… lol… So this was a good experience for me!
Start with a base card in Whisper White cut at 8.5″ x 5.5″. Score and fold at 4.25″. The next Sweet Sugarplum layer is cut at 5.25″ x 4″. The Perfect Plum layer is cut at 4.25″ x 2.75″, and the whisper White layer is cut at 4″ x 2.5″.
Die cut your pieces from white paper and sponge the colors on, including the crumb cake color onto the bowl.
Celebrate the big day with the Stampin’Up! Birthday Blossoms Brick embossed card! Love these fun pansy flowers!
Start this card with a 8.5″ x 5.5″ crumb cake card base. Score and fold at 4.25″. The Basic Black layer is cut at 5.25″ x 4″. Finally the top Crumb Cake layer is cut at 5″ x 3.75″. Emboss this with the Brick Wall embossing folder.
Stamp 2 pansies in white ink on crumb cake and 2 on black cardstock. Punch out with the pansy punch. Tip: Each of the petals is different, so if you place a black mark next to the bottom petal (on the stamp) then it’s easier to line up in the punch!
Stamp and fussy cut the leaves. Use an office hole punch for the black circles and add the pearls. Stamp the sentiment on .75″ strip and layer on top of a .5″ black strip. Flag the ends. Remember to make the envelope pretty!
