Love, love, love this Stampin’ Up! Snowy Hometown Greetings stamp and coordinating framelit set! I show a simple card with no fussy cutting or glitter snow as well as show how to make the gold foil window with snow “fancier” version.
Although this card looks super fancy, it’s actually very easy to create. Simple start with an A2 card base cut at 11″ x 4.25″. Score and fold in half at 5.5″. Cut 3 pieces of paper ( one at 4″ x 5.25″, one at 4″ x 4.25″, and one at 4″ x 3″) Run each one through the bigshot die cutter with the edgelit at the “top” of the paper. This allows room to shift and attach where you want and simply cut along the bottom to finish it off.
And here is the video tutorial for Stampin’ Up! Snowy Hometown Greetings:
I am in love with this Stampin’ Up! Moonlight Silhouette Cat Punch card! Because this was featured as a tutorial on SplitCoastStampers I have left the format to match theirs, but with a bit more detail!
1. First, begin with a 3” circle of White glitter paper cut with a 3” circle framelit or punch. 2. Then use the punch to create a negative image (open space of a shape) Make sure and have the image in the proper orientation when punching) 3. This will leave a positive image (here a cat) and a negative (a cat which will look silhouetted against a moon) 4. Next, sponge lightly around the edges to add depth. Please see the video for tips on sponging without streaking and also how glimmer paper can also be changed color by spritzing.
5. Stamp the inside of the card with navy ink using the decorative stamp and sentiment. Attach. Remember to make your envelope pretty with the decorative stamp, too! 6. Stamp the navy cardfront with white craft ink using the decorative stamp and sentiment. The navy cardfront is cut at 5 1/8” x 3 7/8”. 7. Run adhesive around the back of the navy card front and attach the blue ribbon. Place a whitecardstock layer over the blue base. This is white layer is cut at 5.25” x 4”. Now attach the assembled cardfront to the base layers. 8. Place dimensional adhesive to the back of the punched “moon” 9. Position your punched shape on the cardfront. 10. Use a glue dot to make the blue ribbon “cinch” at the point where you are going to add the other ribbons. 11. Finally, attach the mini silver sequin trim using a glue dot. Tie a small bow using the silver ribbon. Attach the silver bow using another glue dot.
I just love this Stampin’ Up! Night in Bethlehem Bundle. The layers are so easy to create and there are so many ways to use this set! I simply can’t wait to play more!
Life is starting to calm down a bit from my unusually busy summer and I am so looking forward to some really relaxed creative time. As much as I love summer, the fall and winter days seem to run by at a more relaxing pace, and I am thankful for that!
Although there is die cutting on this card I went ahead and added it to the quick & easy card category. Because, really it’s only a few cuts and one stamp!
The base is 8.5″ x 5.5″, scored and folded at 4.25″. The Early espresso layer is 5.25″ x 4″. and the top white layer is 5″ x 3.75″.
Remember to make your envelope pretty!
And here is the video tutorial: Our cat Teddy makes several appearances in this video, she needed attention today and if I closed her out she meowed…lol… We love her!
Love my simple Brightly Lit Christmas Lamppost with banner card. Other than some easy sponging this Christmas card is very quick. Notice the small “flame” inside the light? It’s the little things!
Start with an A2 card base in Whisper White cardstock. The dimensions are 8.5″ x 5.5″, score and fold in half at 4.25″. The Cherry Cobbler layer is 5.25″ x 4″, and the top white layer is cut at 5″ x 3.75″. Emboss this top layer with the Falling Snow embossing folder.
Cut out the lamppost pieces in black cardstock, and remember to cut a small top in crushed curry to make the “flame”. Cut the banner and stamp the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink.
Attach the lightpost using the fine tip glue pen. Add a small silver bow, and remember to make your envelope pretty!
Stampin’ Up! Ready For Christmas Tree card. Simple, elegant, easy to reproduce! Yay! I love the pine branch framelits, they look so real!
I started with an A2 card base of Very Vanilla cut at 11″ x 4.25″. Then score and fold in half at 5.5″. The second Old Olive layer is cut at 5.25″ x 4″. And the top Basic Black layer is 5″ x 3.75″.
Attach the Basic Black layer to the Old Olive layer. Then run adhesive around the back and attach the ribbon. After that attack to the Very Vanilla base.
Stamp the Christmas tree on very vanilla cardstock with Old Olive ink. Then use the big shot to die cut that tree and one more in Old Olive cardstock. Cut the Old Olive tree in half and attach to stamped tree. Die cut 3 branches and a star in gold glimmer paper.
I love this Brightly Lit Christmas Lamppost with Wreath. The Brightly Lit Christmas bundle has that gas lamp Victorian era charm and there are many quick and easy card possibilities.
To make this Christmas card simply start with an A2 sized Very Vanilla card base cut at 11″ x 4.25″. Score and fold at 5.5″ The Old Olive layer is cut at 5.25″ x 4″. The inner Very Vanilla layer is cut at 5″ x 3.75″.
Stamp the wreath on Very Vanilla cardstock. Then use the Big Shot to die cut the lamppost, Filigree arm, and wreath. I left part of the arm unglued until I hung the wreath on it, then I used a dimensional to pop up part of the wreath for depth.
