Hanging Garden 2018 Occasions Catalog

Hanging Garden 2018 Occasions Catalog

This Stampin’ Up! Hanging Garden 2018 Occasions Catalog set reminded me of my childhood 🙂  Yes my moms house was filled with hanging plants in the old macrame hangers… Lol… apparently that’s a good thing since it evoked happy feelings!

This card was created for a color challenge here on StampingCatCrew.com, and I loved the bright pops of color!  The card is super easy to create.  Just start with an A2 card base in Whisper White cut at 8.5″ x 5.5″.  Score and fold in half at 4.25″.  I stamped each of my plants and the sentiment on white cardstock and trimmed close.  Then I mounted these on the background colors Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, and black.  Each of these was cut 1/8″ bigger than the white.

A simple tip I share is that you can change the color of your ribbon.  For example, here I used Melon Mambo marker on the white.  However, you can also use alcohol based Stamin’ blends markers, ink pads, or re-inkers!  A color to match every project!  How cool is that??

Daisy Delight Bundle Series Tranquil Tide

Daisy Delight Bundle Series Tranquil Tide

Can’t say enough good things about the Stampin’Up! Daisy Delight Bundle Series Tranquil Tide!  Quick, easy, and only a few items needed!  I can’t wait to play more in this Daisy Delight series!

The challenge of starting with a half pack of DSP and a base accessory and seeing where my creativity goes is something I love!  Making up these kits for sale is a way to keep me out of any creative blahs!  Add that to the weekly color challenges and I stay on my crafty toes.

Photopolymer is great in the way it bends and shapes as needed, for example curving stems!  The card speaks for itself in it’s simplicity and remember to make your envelope pretty!

Happy birthday card using Christmas in the Making

Happy birthday card using Christmas in the Making

I was inspired to make this Happy birthday card using Christmas in the Making stamp set from my friend Libby!  In case you couldn’t tell I love cats!  They just make me happy!  So thinking outside the box with this stamp set makes it useful year round!  I have even seen some super cute Halloween cards using this set!

I also love to color and so I was incredibly excited when Stampin’ Up! brought back their line of Stampin’ Blends Alcohol ink markers complete with skin tones, and color lifter!  This was so easy to do it qualified as a quick and easy card!

I started with an A2 card base in the Thick White cardstock.  Cut this at 8.5″ x 5.5″.  Score and fold in half at 4.25″.  The Crumb Cake layer is cut at 5.25″ x 4″, the DSP layer is cut at 4 7/8″ x 3 5/8″, and the Shimmer White layer is  4 3/4″ x 3.5″ .  You don’t have to use Shimmery white card stock with Alcohol markers, but I do love the look and blending smoothness!  Stamp the Sentiments in Pool Party ink and remember to make your envelope pretty!
